Kathleen Parker: A country of Laws, Torture
If we are a country of laws, which I agree we are and we should still be,
why is it when politicians(THEY) in Washington, want to enforce these laws THEY only want the laws THEY want, to be enforced. What happens, like the Senators, the Representatives, Congressmen that do not abide by our laws, but think the people of this country are the ONLY ones governed by these laws? Should the people be the only ones to be governed, shouldn't all the peoples no matter how important THEY think THEY are, shouldn't THEY be governed by these laws? "Don't have to pay THEIR taxes", "Can get contracts paid for by the people, for THEIR spouses company", " Get huge amounts of stimulus money for useless projects....airport that only flies with 4 or 5 passengers" "Can be wiretapped and be proved, providing secret material for a spy" "Can approve a late term abortion bill that KILLS BABIES" and there are so many more wrongs our politician in Washington, DC have done, but you are writing about torture. Ms Parker why don't you investigate these charges about our politicians and find out the real truths. Of course torture is wrong........but in place of death to our people, I would rather see a man be "tortured" and LIVE and we have never killed or maimed, then not tortured and have many deaths of our people.........is this not common sense?

I do not understand why you would give print space to this right wing nut case. Certainly he has the right to his opinion but you should not support him by giving him print space. This man spews his hate as if it were a badge of honor. All you have to do is read his most recent rant titled. Aggressive nanny state destroys American ideals. He states the $800 billion stimulus bill was not needed? After the $700 billion the Bush administration shoved into the banks with no strings attached, virtually every reputable economist disagree with this neocon moron.
Need I say more? I don't think so.
